The April 2026 outing at Van Stadens brought together the members of Trekkers Laager IX for another incredible weekend of camping, camaraderie, and family fun. Surrounded by nature and good company, members enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter, shared meals, entertaining activities, and the special traditions that make every Trekkers gathering unforgettable.

The weekend featured everything from Easter egg surprises and tasty braai treats to friendly competitions and the ever-popular floating trophy presentations. Members celebrated achievements, recognised memorable moments, and enjoyed the playful spirit of awards like the Moerstok, Spanner, Woody Trophy, and Putt Putt honours.

Families and visitors joined in the festivities, while children proudly received participation badges for taking part in the weekend’s activities. A special congratulations was also shared with Charl and Lisa Van Zyl for reaching an impressive milestone of 150 outings — a true testament to their commitment to the club and the camping lifestyle.

The outing was filled with the warmth of community spirit, whether gathered around the fire sharing stories, supporting club sales, or simply enjoying quality time outdoors. From delicious potato salads and jalapeño poppers to evenings of laughter and fine-worthy moments, Van Stadens once again delivered a memorable Trekkers experience.
